We would like to see interesting application from around the world. This is a way for us to get to know you. All applications will both function as an archive for possible future collaborations and will have an impact on the jurys parameters for evaluation and selection. Would you mind explaining what 'text writing' means? Out of the pool of international applications we will ask 10 people to elaborate on their idea and make it into a text. If the author agrees it will be published. We pay 100€ for this. What does for 'the conference' mean? At the end of the residency programme there will be a conference. Therefor some applicants may be invited to engage and present their project.   ___@ residency When will the residency be taking place? The residencies are scheduled to take place preferably in January-March 2010. Who can get the residency? Artists from the Nordic and Baltic countries can receive a grant to stay in Berlin. When being a resident—what do you offer? We provide living costs (700€ p.m.), airfare, apartment with internet access, a mobile phone, a bike, and a list of interesting contacts. We will provide administrative support and assistance if requested and/or required.   ___@ general Who will be the jury? It is an international jury specialized on the topic. See here. What will be your criteria for selection? The jurys prior focus will be on the proposals: We estimate texts that are directly dealing with the topic and that are able to reflect the curatorial impact of the open call. Why can I not add loose images, catalogues? We look at your proposal only. So it should be able to stand on its own. Which information are required? include your proposal, CV, address, phone number and e-mail to one pdf-document (max.3 pages). If you don´t want to use our application form be sure to insert the required information and put it in the same order as it is there. Why don’t you accept it when I send you links? We would like you to add your web links in your application, but we won’t collect your CV and information from your webpage. I’d been in Berlin before. Can I apply? The jury won’t give the residency to someone living in Berlin. How will I be sure you got my application? Send it as a pdf-file only to "mail (at) netres.org" with "application" in the subject line. When your application was accepted you will receive a confirmation via email within 3 days. When and how will I be informed about the decisions? We will notify you via email in January 2010.
