Paulette Phillips' Biography

Paulette Phillips' installations use constructed film sequences to explore erratic, emotional or impulsive behaviour. Recent exhibitions include Danielle Arnaud Contemporary Art in London; Artist's Space, New York, The Oakville Galleries; The Ottawa Art Gallery; Generator, Dundee, Wandelhalle, Cologne; and Paul Petro Contemporary Art in Toronto. The upcoming group exhibition Electronic Bodies will travel in 2005 to Oboro, Montreal, ZKM, Karlsruhe, and La Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris. Her film and video work has screened at ICA in London; MoMA; The Tate north, Liverpool, Spiral Gallery, Tokyo; Honolulu, Hawaii, Sydney, Australia, The Toreanno Screening Room, London, venues across Canada as well as television broadcasts.
