A intimate display box set into the impressive, imposing Karl Marx Allee, taking its frame from the grand columns and forecourt that this setting offers. There is a display of small sculptures offered to view in a low glass cabinet and on a narrow shelf. The space feels delicate, quiet, small enough to see what it has without having to walk around. A tenderly selected collection. The most confident item in the space is the large coffee machine, sat opposite a table and chair for one. This space feels like its on offer just for you to look at. It is run by artists Ludwig Menzel and Nina Sidow. I am telling you all this, stood outside, peering inside, as it was closed when I went to visit, but believe me all the same.
