Rakett consists of Karolin Tampere and Åse
Løvgren and is a collaboration that started in 2003. Rakett
is a platform for various activities ranging from curatorial practise to initiation
of projects. We work as artists in an expanded notion of the artist role, in
that we feel free to juggle between acting as curators, object-producing-artists,
project-initiators, etc. Rakett is a mobile project in that we mostly work site-specific
in spaces that we find suitable. The focus for our work is to create a meeting
place and common grounds for communication where emphasize is put on collaborations
and openness in regards to the final work. Our curated shows often present work
that is not commercially oriented in that it is time-based or non-permanent
work.
